Reset Maintenance Light – Toyota Corolla

If your Corolla does not have a centrally-located color display or a touchscreen, you can reset your maintenance light by taking the following steps:

  1. Place the key in the ignition, and turn it to the “On” position. Don’t start the car.
  2. Press the trip reset button and hold it until you see “Trip A” on the display.
  3. Return the key to the “Off” position.
  4. Hold down the trip reset button, and turn the key back to the “On” position.
  5. Keep holding the button down until the odometer displays zero miles for the current trip. At this point, your Corolla maintenance light should be off once more.

If you don’t have any luck on the first try, try going through the steps once more. If you still can’t turn off the maintenance light in your Corolla, call or visit your local Santa Monica service center to troubleshoot the problem. You can also contact our service team online.
