2020 Toyota Avalon TRD Release Date
The Toyota Racing Development team has done it again, and we here at Toyota Santa Monica couldn’t be more excited for the impending 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD release date. As with the new 2020 Toyota Camry TRD, the new racing-inspired Avalon will enter production and reach dealerships toward the end of 2019. We’re anticipating a final release date in October, but we won’t be able to say for certain until the day of reckoning draws closer.
In the meantime, you can prepare for its arrival by checking out the 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD specs and features, detailed below!
2020 Toyota Avalon TRD Specs and Features
We still have a few months to wait before anyone can test drive the new 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD on the roads near Palms and Playa Vista. However, the press team at Toyota has already graced us with quite a bit of information about this luxurious full-size sedan. Here’s what we know so far:
- The 2020 Avalon TRD will come equipped with a DOHC 3.5-liter V6 with 301 hp. An 8-speed automatic transmission, complete with a built-in Sport mode and paddle shifters, will also come standard. TRD cat-back exhaust tips produce a full-throated roar.
- A new suspension package makes the Avalon TRD more agile and responsive than ever. You’ll enjoy track-tuned shock absorbers, thicker underbody bracing, a lower center of gravity, 19 x 8.5-inch wheels, and more. It sits 0.6 inches lower than ever before.
- The TRD-modified chassis is made even more aerodynamic with the inclusion of a trunk lid spoiler, a rear diffuser, a front splitter, and side aero skirts. Red pinstriping and brake calipers give the Avalon TRD an even more distinctive look.
Like the forthcoming Toyota Camry TRD, the Avalon TRD will include black SofTex®-trimmed sport seats, a leather steering wheel, black TRD-branded floor mats with red contrast piping, a TRD-branded shift knob, and embroidered headrests.
It will be made available in four colors: Supersonic Red, Windchill Pearl, Celestial Silver Metallic and Midnight Black Metallic.
It’s too soon to list a precise 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD price. However, most are expecting a starting cost of around $45,000.
